There is no doubt that becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel opens more than a few doors, just ask models turned businesswomen such as Tyra Banks, Miranda Kerr and Heidi Klum! Current Angel Lily Aldridge has no plans to follow Miranda’s lead and leave the lingerie biz anytime soon but she is looking ahead to the future, which could include an organic beauty line and a fashion label!
“I’ve done Victoria’s Secret [so] I have a name and I can launch myself in a bigger way,” Lily said, in the latest issue of Net-a-Porter.
Lily’s leap into the design world makes sense, since she comes from such a fashion-oriented family. Her mom, Laura Lyons, was Playboy Playmate back in the 1970s and her half-brother Miles is a famous fashion photog. Meanwhile, her half-sister Saffron was a Ralph Lauren model while her younger sister Ruby also poses professionally in front of the camera.
“I grew up on fashion shoots,” she said. “When I was a kid, I thought I was going to be a soccer player, then a photographer, as I looked up to Miles so much. But I was so in awe of Saffron; I watched her work all the time.”
