If you are into manga you can’t miss the exhibition “The world of manga”. Hosted at the Wereldmuseum (World Art Museum) in Rotterdam, the exposition will end on the 12th of January 2014.
From the makers of Samurai, “The world of manga” is inspired by the terrifying guardians of Buddhist philosophy and by the rugged heroes of street fight, introducing the philosophy of manga comics, animation and games. The digital photo art with graphic effects by Jonathan Anderson and Edwin Low raise the question: are manga inspired by the dreams of humans, or are the dreams of humans inspired by manga?
This is the first time that Japanese manga masters such as Akatsuki Katoh, Shiho Enta, Ching Nakamura and Fuzichoco show their work outside Japan. An entire room is dedicated to the artwork of internationally acclaimed Wolf Children Ame and Yuki from director Mamoru Hosoda.
Make sure you plan a trip to Rotterdam before the 12th of January! Totally worth it!
