Sometimes inspiration comes from boredom and turns into something amazing. This is what happened with Choo-San, a 19-year-old Japanese girl studying at the Musashino Art University in Tokyo.
Bored with digitally enhanced photographs, Choo-San decided to employ her artistic talent to body art, thus creating incredible attention-grabbing images. She discovered her body art talent after sketching eyes on the back of her own hand and went on to further develop her painting skills on other people. The results are remarkable trompe l’oeil images involving eyes, batteries, zippers, laces and buttons applied on the body.
“There is no real reason as to why I started doing those pictures. I guess I was a little sick of everyone making pictures with their computers and wanted to see how far I could go without technologies such as Photoshop” Choo-San explained, revealing that all of her work is done with acrylics and painted directly on the skin. She doesn’t use any technology to change the pictures afterwards.
