Growing Jewelry is a collection by hip Icelandic product designer Hafsteinn Juliusson. The collection of this hand jewelry is designed for people in metropolitan cities and is an expirement in drawing nature towards man, as nature being the presupposition of life.
This collection is a production made in Iceland and all pieces are made out of stainless steel with real Icelandic moss placed inside the jewelry. The designer’s ring creations take inspiration from garden decor and 80s chia pet figurines that would grow green hair when watered.
“It is important to take care of the Growing Jewelry. For best results water it only once every 5 weeks and be careful not to water to much.” the designer said.
The Growing Jewelry collection promotes eco-friendly fashion and it is available at the Reykjavik Art Museum where it lives on sand beds under growing lamps.
