Well, it’s official, Rihanna loves MAC and we know MAC loves the huge sales they’re making with everything and anything Rihanna, what originally came out as lipstick collection became a neverending array of products, so if you’re making a list whether to be naughty or nice and you love yourself some Rihanna, get a look at her holiday collection. Yes, we get it Rihanna loves Ruby Woo, but so did we and so did Dita Von Teese.
The packaging is rose gold and pearly white, the stylized R and the RiRi <3 MAC signature. We have no doubt that this collection is going to sell out like all other RiRi collections and here’s a sneak peek at things to come!
Two eyeshadow palettes with the Veluxe Pearlfusion finish in Phresh Out and 2x Dare, both are kind of neutral-ish, with Phresh out sporting a blue eyeshadow and a shimmering green while 2x Dare has more neutral and bronze shades, all of these eyeshadows have a pearly shimmer finish so if you’re a sucker for mattes, you better leave these aside.
Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in Pisces Persuasion (a very shimmering white) and Cockiness (rose gold also with a shimmer finish) these two reflect the overall packaging finish.
Three “new” matte lipsticks in RiRi Woo that seems to be present in all these collections in the classical matte cool toned red, Pleasure Bomb which is a very daring matte hot fuchsia and our favourite and Bad Girl RiRi which is a darker nude with a taupe shade.
To add to your RiRi holiday collection you have a golden bronzer named Love, Rihanna with a pearly finish and a red nail lacquer mimicking the RiRi Woo lipstick shade.
For accessories you have a dual sided brush with the MAC cult classic 217 blending brush and 239 shading brush which are usually staples in their holiday short hand brush collections and in our humble opinion very worth it, specially if you to take while travelling and save on some space.
Las but not least is a rose gold makeup bag that while sporting the RiRi <3 MAC look and feel is very reminiscent of a Bobbi Brown makeup bag that was released some time ago with the Rose Quartz collection or the finish of her faux silk lining from the Caviar & Oyster Deluxe collection from last year.
All in all this Rihanna collection will interest any makeup and Rihanna fans, makeup collectors because it’s a one of a kind packaging or people who I’m sure will sell many of these items on ebay for the public mentioned in the beginning.
Will Rihanna and MAC’s love affair keep sprouting out colour stories or will these flames fade if MAC falls in love with another celebrity? We think only time will tell.
