Chloe Founder Awarded the Legion of Honour

CHLOE founder Gaby Aghion will be awarded with the prestigious French order, the Legion of Honour. Created by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802,  the order is the highest decoration in France with previous recipients including Anna Wintour, Azzedine Alaïa, Cecil Beaton and Valentino Garavani.

Aghion, 92, established the fashion house in 1952 and it quickly became the go-to label for feminine lengths and diaphanous silhouettes. The label recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with retrospectives at the  Palais de Tokyo, Paris and Selfridges, London.

It has been confirmed that Aghion will be presented with the medal by French culture and communications minister Aurélie Filippetti at the ceremony on December 17.
