Chilean born, New York based artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz was raised in London; took art classes in Washington, film courses in Edinburgh, and a design degree in Santiago. He later received his Master’s in Fine Arts from New York University. He currently lives and works in NY with parallel workshops in Santiago.
The shoemaker made 12 shoes for 12 lovers on his MakerBot Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer. Then he sanded, primed, and painted them, and brought them to Miami Beach for Art Basel, the international art fair.
“When I started this process I never imagined where it would end up, it’s been infinitely more complex, revealing and difficult than I thought.”, the designer said.
The exhibition will be on display as part of Miami Basel from December 6th – January 6th at the Melissa Pop-Up Miami, 830 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach.
