Junya Wataabe is a Japanese fashion designer, originally got his start as a pattern cutter at Comme des Garçons in 1984, straight out of Tokyo’s Bunka Fashion College.

Watanabe is often considered to be a ‘techno couture’ designer, creating unusually structured clothes out of modern, technical materials.
