Just Jewelry: An Exclusive Look at Christie’s Online Jewelry Auction

When Christie’s auction house called to give us an exclusive preview of its new online jewelry sale, we knew that we’d absolutely have to share it with you. So in this special installment of Just Jewelry, Nikki and I got a chance to model some marvelous pieces and style them in our own way. Take a close look at the images below—in addition to some gorgeous jewelry, you might just notice some paintings by Kandinsky and Miro in the background (it is Christie’s after all!). The online auction begins on Monday, June 16, and concludes on July 1. Click here for more information. And now, the jewels:

nikki-christies-1Here, Nikki is wearing several geometric gold bracelets stacked up along with a chain necklace and matching rings. Gold is perfect on bare skin in the summertime. You can pull off the look with costume jewelry too.

christies-gold-pendantA gold statement pendant looks chic and elegant. It’s a great piece that works with classic dresses.

Nikki-clutchA jeweled evening clutch? Yes, please! This art deco clutch is an elegant addition to any evening look.

christies-bugs-closeupJeweled insect brooches in rubies, sapphires, and diamonds are dainty and entirely decadent.

christies-bow-broochI fell in love with this gold bow brooch and pinned it to the waist of my dress. I’m a big believer in wearing brooches anywhere except my lapel, a la Carrie Bradshaw.

Christies-gold-gemstones-braceletsWe at Glamour are big fans of stacking jewelry. To keep the look unified, be sure the color palette and finish of the pieces you are mixing are similar. Here, we paired colored gemstone bracelets and a ring, all set in yellow gold.

christies-charm-braceletThis vintage charm bracelet features cherubs playing musical instruments. Whimsical, don’t you think?
