If you think of designer collaborations as exclusively celebrating the hip and now, your mind’s about to get blown. Calvin Klein and MyTheresa are pairing up for a fashion blast from the past, and Reformation is working with model Camille Rowe on a line that’s inspired by 60s classic style icons (specifically, “Jane Birkin meets California.”) So, let’s discuss, shall we?
Calvin Klein Jeans x MyTheresa
Proving that my high-waisted, retro jeans love is not unfounded, e-tailer MyTheresa just announced it’ll be selling nine styles of Calvins inspired by the ’90s-era archives (but updated with modern fabrication). “The Re-Issue Project” will include sweatshirts, tees, jackets, and, of course, jeans. Expect to see high-waisted skinnies like those worn by Brooke Shields in the iconic ’80s ads and tapered boyfriends of the sort Kate Moss wore in campaign imagery. Oh, and speaking of Moss? The face of the collab is none other than her little sis, Lottie Moss.
Prices will range from $105 to $415, with the jeans hitting right around $300. Shop them online starting Wednesday.
Reformation x Camille Rowe
Reformation, maker of elegantly easy dresses Lily Aldridge loves, is teaming up with model Camille Rowe for a range of dresses and one pretty awesome pair of overalls inspired by style icons like Jane Birkin, Sharon Tate, and Françoise Hardy (to note: Camille is French but raised in Southern California).
