Tavi Gevinson is a fashion phenom who has grown up before our eyes and moved on to movies and Broadway, in addition to being an all-around style icon and editor-in-chief and founder of Rookie. The site’s Yearbook, a physical compilation of the best of the online best from the year before, is releasing its third edition on Oct. 21, and we’ve got an exclusive glimpse at Tavi talking about some of the more interesting factors about her job.
“It’s nice because I’m a massive hoarder, and I get to finally put all of my clothes and trinkets and jewelry and all that to good use,” she explained, indicating that the colorful backgrounds and accent images you see are actually from her personal collection. “It gives me an excuse to buy lots of stuff on Etsy as well.”
I’m fascinated by Tavi in general and will definitely flip through Yearbook. If you need another reason to pick up a copy, know this: “This month is basically, like, Beyoncé and Lorde month,” Tavi said while flipping through pages. I mean, with a combo like that you can’t go wrong.
