Last week, I asked Selfie costume designer Danielle Launzel how to dress for success at the office (not to mention, what not to do, ahem). Today, let’s look to an example in action: fashion designer and business mogul Victoria Beckham.
While on a visit to her first-ever storefront in London, the big boss dressed the part but in her own unexpectedly chic and elegant way. Instead of a suit or the classic shirt and trousers look, Victoria paired a crisp white collared shirt with a black tweedy A-line midiskirt. While the look was minimalist and all business (note the lack of jewelry), her breezily rolled up cuffs, slouchier fit of the skirt, and black suede shooties gave her work outfit a modern edge. As if we’d expect any less from VB—this is the woman who is single-handedly bringing back the V-neck sweater vest, after all.
