Page Six has reported that the actor signed with Wilhelmina Models and has already gotten some fashion action, posing for photographer Bruce Weber for an upcoming issue of L’Uomo Vogue and working with Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane.

Amazon is sniffing around Net-a-Porter.
The online commerce giant is in “ongoing talks” to purchase the luxe e-retailer, according to WWD, though reps from both brands declined to comment. Amazon has previously expressed interest in making a mark in the high-fashion online space, and industry insiders are speculating that the company that bought NAP in 2010, Compagnie Financière Richemont, could sell the business as it’s not set up as part of its core business.

Meghan Trainor links up with a plus-size fashion brand.
MTV ferreted out a press release from FullBeauty Brands, a “full-figured fit and fashion” brand, that reveals Meghan Trainor has started working with the company on future projects including collaborations and social media moments. “We feel privileged to have Meghan, who has inspired millions with her music, on our team as we promote fashion and empowerment to women,” the release stated.

Tom Ford is back in the movie business.
The designer made a splash with A Single Man in 2009, and he’s back at it, this time with George Clooney. The Hollywood Reporter said he’ll write the script for and direct Nocturnal Animals, and Clooney will produce.

The Apple watch has competition.
It was to be expected, but the forthcoming timepiece won’t be the only luxe tech device available for long. The highest-end option rings up at $17,000, making it the same sort of investment as pricey pieces from traditional brands. The classic names aren’t being left in the dust, with The New York Times detailing a new product created by Tag Heuer, Google and Intel, as well as a Breitling that uses Bluetooth for standard smart functions, plus add-ons for pilots.
