Why I Think Kate Middleton’s Hot Pink Coat Totally Means She’s Having Another Boy

Kate Middleton decided to re-wear her hot pink Mulberry coat on an outing in London today—it’s her last official appearance before giving birth to her second baby some time next month—and onlookers might wonder if she’s giving off a color cue as to the gender of her unborn babe. When it comes to girly shades, there’s not much more feminine than bright pink, and goodness, I’d love a little princess in Kensington Palace!

There’s absolutely nothing faulty about the logic, but I’m actually going to hypothesize that the magenta topper means the exact opposite: Prince George will get a little brother! Why, you ask?

Let me remind you what Kate wore the last time she had an official appearance before going to the hospital to have a baby…

Bam! Before Prince George was born in July 2013, Kate picked a pale pink coat and hat for the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Before that, earlier in June, she picked another light, feminine number.
