Introducing the Swinging Paris collection from the Paris est une fete Collection by Messika Paris

Intoxicating. Stunning. What became known as the «Roaring Twenties» were all about parties, led by a young generation who wanted to have fun and live life to the fullest. Paris was a party and there was nothing quite like the intoxication of dance. This abundance of energy with a touch of craziness gave birth to Swing – a dance that paved the way to what would later become rock & roll. To celebrate the hedonism of this period of freedom, when women’s eyes were lit up by champagne, Valérie Messika has designed a dazzling necklace that is as light as a feather. A staggering accumulation of 127 oval-cut diamonds and 2407 brilliant-cut diamonds. This awe-inspiring necklace required over 1,200 hours of work, with diamonds chosen for their perfect proportions that appear to come alive like champagne bubbles. Each stone is enhanced by surrounding micro-set diamonds while a removable 3.26 ct oval throne in levitation. Thanks to an articulation of knifeedge threads that are as discreet as possible and the elasticity of the Skinny system, the stones appear to float next to each other for an airy and alluring effect.

To complement this suite, Valérie Messika has designed a Toi & Moi ring that is delicately articulated around two 1.70 ct and 1.06 ct oval-cut diamonds.

The suite is complemented by two equally original pieces, with a twist thanks to the designer’s unique style: asymmetry and the unexpected arrangement of stones. A pair of ear cuff-style earrings perfect the «Swinging Paris» suite. The asymmetric oval-cut diamonds embrace the curves of the ear lobe.
