Les Benjamins Launch FW18/19 Collection:
An Evocation of an Ancient City Skyline
Les Benjamins, Istanbul streetwear brand, launches their Fall/Winter 2018 collection with a powerful evocation of ancient skyscrapers. Geometric, bold and minimal takes shape in the form of historical architecture, as the ultimate urban symbol.
The night skyline is immensely beautiful. Paying homage to ceremonial global structures such as the Aztecs’ Mesoamerican pyramids in Mexico and Central America, and Egyptian pyramids in Giza and Khufu, the streetwear embodies majestic and breathtaking horizons. Ancient and modern meet in graphic prints, with a focus on depicting the city night sky in lurex fabrications, reflective prints, and exploratory trimmings. Bunyamin Aydin, designer and founder, frames the architecture in his favored and celebrates the styles. Recently awarded the ‘Esquire Designer of the Year’ in the Middle East, he is known for translating stories, merging together the past and present of cultures through the use of bold textures and prints.
Les Benjamins collections are a culmination of a creative journey; the Ancient Skyscraper collection brings an ancient city skyline to life with mystery, humor and atmospheric elements in black, white, navy, indigo and grey. Les Benjamins is more than just streetwear; it is an embodiment of cultural influence that offers a unique insight into how we view the world.
With the iconic TSUGI Puma trainers on foot, models wear, Bunyamin Aydin is announcing a Puma x Les Benjamins collaboration for 2019.
