Grey Hues and Deconstructed Styling Make the New Scandinavian-inspired Collection

Global Sports Brand PUMA and Danish luxe streetwear brand, Han Kjøbenhavn, reunite for Spring-Summer ’18 with a new look for the Scandinavian-inspired collaboration. Under the direction of founder and creative director Jannik Davidsen, the all-new PUMA x HAN KJØBENHAVN collection takes on a new deconstructed corporate identity featuring pin stripes and photocopy inspired graphics.

Founded in May 2008 on the streets of Copenhagen, Denmark, Han Kjøbenhavn centres around the foundations of Scandanavian, and more specifically, Danish design. Simple shapes and always functional, like the streetwear brand itself, the PUMA x HAN KJØBENHAVN SS’18 collection draws design cues from Danish culture, Vintage Workwear and Newspaper archives combined with a deconstructed, raw take on Scandinavian Style.

PUMA and Han Kjøbenhavn placed the focus on evolving both PUMA Archive silhouettes as well as progressive new styles, seamlessly fusing comfort, functionality and high-end fashion. The collection shows off PUMA’s new forward-looking style, the Tsugi Mi, in a new collaborative boot iteration featuring the iconic DISC closure technology for a snug fit and futuristic look. Other footwear offerings share the futuristic styling combined with luxurious materials and muted tones, including the all-new Abyss combat boot, the progressive TSUGI Netfit and evolutions of Archive classics, the Suede, Court and Leadcat.

Extending to apparel the collection includes standout pieces made of the premium and luxurious fabrics and materials. Enjoying success in AW’17, the all new pin-stripe Han Coat is no doubt a hero piece of the collection. The statement coat in asphalt grey features a simple shape, clean pinstripes, golden zippers, and clean PUMA x HAN KJØBENHAVN embroidery highlighting the solid colours, clean lines and simple shapes of Scandinavian design. Other complimentary apparel and accessories fall into three distinct designs: a simple pinstripe look, an all over graphic print inspired by archive newspapers and a clean black offering with gold embroidery.

HAN KJØBENHAVN was founded in 2008. The Copenhagen based brand started out with eyewear/sunglasses, as they wanted to create a high quality product with an affordable price range. The brand quickly gained worldwide recognition and in 2009 they launched their first apparel collection for men, which to this day is sold worldwide. Soon, they will launch their first full women’s wear collection. HAN KJØBENHAVN is built upon the fundamentals of Danish design: Made to be used, contemporary in looks and innovation in their line of thoughts.
