ROBERTO CAVALLI will be the Special Guest

at Pitti Immagine Uomo 94 (Florence, 12-15 June 2018),

presenting the first men’s collection designed by Paul Surridge

The Roberto Cavalli Group has chosen Pitti Uomo for the worldwide launch of its new men’s fashion project with a special event in the house’s distinctive style.


One of the most important Italian luxury brands in the world, Roberto Cavalli will be back on its “hometown” catwalks with the first men’s collection by Paul Surridge, the new creative director for all of the company’s lines.

In April 2015, Clessidra SGR, the Italian equity fund acquired 90% of Roberto Cavalli – one of the major names in Italian fashion, accessories and lifestyle products. A year later, in July 2016, Gian Giacomo Ferraris was appointed CEO. An engineer by training, Mr. Ferraris is a leading figure in the international fashion industry, having worked with prestigious luxury brands such as the Gucci Group (Gucci, YSL, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta), Jil Sander, and Versace.

Guided by strong respect for the brand’s unique heritage, but equally determined to define a phase based on modern dynamism and in line with the needs of today’s men and women, English designer, Paul Surridge took over as creative director of all the Cavalli brands in May 2017. The women’s 2018 spring-summer show marked his debut at the reins of Roberto Cavalli. The spontaneous hug between the new head of design and founder Roberto Cavalli at the end of the show symbolized the passing of the baton. If Roberto Cavalli transformed a small company specialized in printing on leather into an international luxury colossus in the 1970s, now with a clear mind and determination, Paul Surridge will be writing a new chapter in the brand’s life story as it meets the challenges of changing international markets

Focusing a precise aesthetic in which flattering silhouettes, fine materials and special processes contribute to building a luxurious and sophisticated image, Paul Surridge is imbuing the brand with dynamic and urban energy. A new, versatile and elegant look in daywear is dominating the women’s and men’s collections in which imagination, sartoriality and function come together in creations with a modern and refined spirit. The accessories which accentuate the brand’s fine manufacturing combine craft traditions with an aesthetic inspired by contemporary design.
