TEFAF Maastricht, the world’s premier fine art fair, will take place from March 16th to 24th in the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Center (MECC Maastricht), Netherlands. CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel, the museum-caliber brand founded by jewellery artist Cindy Chao, whose Peony Brooch was awarded Outstanding Object Award at Masterpiece London last year for being an outstanding example of contemporary craftsmanship and great design, will unveil the latest Black Label Masterpieces at TEFAF Maastricht.
Chao’s Black Label Masterpieces exemplify her devotion to fusing the 18th-century European artisan wax sculpting technique with modern cutting-edge jewellery craftsmanship. Back in 2010, just five years after she established her eponymous brand, her iconic annual butterfly “Royal Butterfly Brooch” was inducted by the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. for its innovative design and exquisite craftsmanship. This year there are a total of 279 exhibitors participating in TEFAF Maastricht. Among the 40 new-coming exhibitors, CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel (Stand 139) is the only high jewellery brand to join the section TEFAF La Haute Joaillerie.
