Webinar with designer from Netflix’s Next in Fashion

.

The way we dress is like communicating without words. Our fashion choices are the results of our individual personalities: through garments we can make ourselves unique and silently scream our identity to the world; through garments we can blend with the crowd and disappear in social conformation; through garment we can show our power, our fears, our rebellion, our self-confidence.

The master talk will be offered by Nasheli Juliana Ortiz, Chair of Fashion Design Department at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, USA, and former contestant in Netflix’s show “Next in Fashion”.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Nasheli Juliana Ortiz received a MFA from Savannah College of Art & Design. Her professional practice outside of the educational community includes: working as a technical designer, draper, tailoring and fine sewing techniques for different designers based in New York, Italy, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

She works on her own brand Nasheli Juliana and participated as guest fashion designer in London Fashion WeekParis Fashion Week and Philadelphia Fashion Week. Among several projects, Nasheli dressed Beyoncéand was featured on Vogue.
