Viktor & Rolf – sideways gowns

With spectacular runway shows, extravagant outfits worn by front-row A-Listers, and an unrecognizable Doja Cat coated in crimson crystals lighting up the internet earlier this week, Paris Haute Couture Week is in full swing. Viktor & Rolf actually turned fashion upside down on Wednesday. Models strutted down the runway in multi-tiered dresses with flipped tulle princess gowns and other Spring/Summer 2023 designs.

One model walked with a fully upside-down dress, the hemline hiding her face and her legs protruding from the sweetheart neckline, while other gowns were worn horizontally or on a diagonal, displaying neutral-colored corset undergarments. She was being followed by another person who was hip-attached.

Each garment that defied gravity remained in place throughout the whimsical production, which was an engineering marvel. Social media users instantly shared pictures from the concert with comments describing it as “absurd” and “crazy” (in the best way).
One Twitter user wrote, “Viktor and rolf really nailed this. Couture presentations are meant to be over the top, exciting, and completely unrealistic to buy for everyday use. You’ll see them on the runway of @rupaulsdragrace THAT’s for sure, said RuPaul’s Drag Race judge and producer Michelle Visage on Instagram.
