According to the Financial Times‘ Vanessa Friedman, Alaïa revealed plans to open a flagship store near Avenue Montaigne in Paris. And that’s not all–the store will be part of a “five-floor hotel particulier with an interior courtyard/garden that will function as store/showroom/some offices.” The store, set to open in March 2013, spells change for the reclusive designer, who is highly in demand despite the fact that he has historically forced clients to seek him out by opting out of the corporate side of fashion.
